Module 2: 3.9 Be cautious of your own blind spot and of others
-
Blind spots are dangerous since these can become troublesome and restrict your vision to examine vehicles that are commuting in a dangerous region next to your vehicle. If you fail to oversee a car when you are going to take a turn or move into a different lane, you will most likely be caught in a collision.
This is specifically valid for large vehicles such as trucks with big blind spots. So you also need to be aware of the blind spots of other vehicles so that you do not go into them while they are changing lanes and they could not see you due to their blind spots.
The thumb rule is that if you cannot look the driver in the truck mirror, he cannot see your vehicle.
