Module 2: 3.5 Keep a safe distance from other vehicles
Every driver needs some room to react to a dangerous situation. The best way of doing this is to keep a safe distance between your vehicle and the vehicle you follow. It will also offer you adequate stopping distance if the car ahead of you goes on hard brakes. The golden rule is to have three seconds of space between you and the vehicle in front. In adverse weather conditions, the safe distance should be increased.
