Physical Conditions Posing Danger on the Road
-
- Vision problems: Vision-related problems, such as myopia (short-sightedness) and night blindness, and eye conditions like glaucoma and cataracts can profoundly impair one’s ability to drive
- Hearing problems: Hearing problems also make one unable to pay attention to the sounds of the emergency vehicles. Such people should stay more alert visually. They should keep checking their vehicle’s mirrors after every three to five seconds.
- Illnesses/Medications: Many medications induce a calming and soothing effect which can make one drowsy while driving.
