Module 1: 1.6.5 Mental & Physical Conditions that Affect Driving
- 1.6.5 Drowsiness and Fatigue
People who have a tight schedule, are tired, or are stressed can feel drowsy or sleepy while driving. Traffic jams or bad weather can also stress out many people. Therefore, it is essential to include stops on the commute so that you can take breaks in between.
Keep your back straight by adjusting your seat or using back pillows, if necessary. Rolling down windows will also help you to avoid fatigue and drowsiness. You can also ask your fellow passenger (if any) to help you keep awake.
